      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      The purpose of this study is to investigate the academic field of comparative education through conceptual analysis of comparison, and to seek academic identity of comparative education through relationship with pedagogy. In particular, this study analyzes the academic nature of comparative education as a concept of comparative education, and its academic nature as a conceptual method of objects and an approach of research methodology. As a result, the basic direction for the academic development of comparative education in Korea is suggested, First, it is necessary to establish a research institute for comparative education in educational research institutes and to establish a comparative education related course in graduate schools. Second, there is a need for a comparative educator who specializes in the education of each region in the world. Third, active participation and interest in comparative education research and exchange activities in international study as well as research institutes and research revitalization in domestic are needed.
