This thesis is aimed at study `national characteristics` which was discussed at the field of North-Korean literal critic in 1950`s and 1960`s. This thesis is a part of plan studying national characteristics appeared in The Litemture News, Chosun-moonhak(Korean Literature), Youth Literature, Omun-yeongu(Study of Language and Litemture). In aspect of theme and thought, national characteristics is focused on `national character` and in aspect of literary form, it can be described as rhythm, character of national language, rethoric and etc. This thesis will be focused on the latter, aspect of literary form. After Korean war, North-Korean literal critic was concentrated on national Characteristics. national characteristics is divided and also magnified to `Jooche theory` in the level of literal thought(substance) and figure. Studying classical literature, national characteristics was converged as national emotion and attitude, description of nature and character of personality. In aspect of theme and thought, national characteristics is divided and magnified to theory of personality figuration, model of communism, positive hero and revolutionary romanticism. In aspect of substance, it is magnified and deepened to theory of rule, linguistic character and rhetoric. Since 196O`s, it is transferred to part of `Jooche`-the only principle of all part of north-Korea such as politics, economy and society-literary theory. this thesis is an discuss of literal form explaining trend of North-Korean literature.
