인공지능의 한계와 기술적, 예술적 사유의 다양성, 잠재성: 스티글러의 탈자동화 개념을 중심으로 = The Limitation and Potentiality of AI and the Diversity of Technological, Artistic Thoughts: Focusing on Stiegler’s idea of De-automatization

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This studies aims to address the limits of artificial intelligence, often described as the greatest intellectual revolution since the printing press in the 15th century. The limits of artificial intelligence, which is said to be virtually limitless, are, among other things, only as far as they can be realized through digital devices, which presupposes that they are computable. By computable, we mean recursively enumerable, and recursively enumerable is only one type of intelligence among many. However, this fundamental limitation is inevitably encountered as a dilemma in the thinking of technology and art (Hui, 2021), especially in East Asia, such as Korea, China, and India. In this regard, Bernard Stiegler's concept of 'dis-automatization' (2016) is compared to Yuk hui's concept of 'technodiversity' (2016) in order to examine the critical and ontological dilemmas facing A.I. from a Pharmacological perspective (Stiegler, 2016) of new potentialities. Through this, it was argued that the socio-cultural potential of diversity of technological and artistic thoughts can be newly revealed through the issues of locality and art, beyond the questions of globalized technological monoculture under the theme of ‘automatic society.’In the end, revealing the limits of artificial intelligence may provide a suggestion to liberated machine intelligence from the confines of a particular way of intelligence and envision a new socio-political ecology and culture with art.
