한국 신협의 정체성 위기에 대하여 = On the Identity Crisis of the Korea Credit Union

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently many people say that the Korea credit union should be able to support the co-operatives which are eager to establish themselves after the enactment of Co-operative Law in 2012. But they are disappointed to find out that they almost do nothing and come to raise questions on their identity. This paper agrees with others that its identity is in crisis. To support that assertion this paper examines other papers on the identity of the Korea credit union. After the critical examinations it discusses the identity problems of the Korea credit union on the basis of the values and principles of the co-operative declared by International Cooperative Alliance in 1995 and concludes that the identity problems of the Korea credit union are in serious condition. And it argues that the fact that the Korea credit union adopts the asymmetric information theory as the managerial principle instead of the values and principles of the co-operative is one of the important factors which leads it to identity crisis. Lastly this paper inquires into the concern for the community, one of the principles of co-operative, whether it can help the Korea credit union restore its identity.
