    With the rise of increased use of smart phones and technologies, human resources management in companies, military and different institutions are using electronic attendance systems ditching the conventional handwritten attendance method. An electronic attendance management system can provide fast and accurate attendance information to both professor and student compared to conventional systems at any time.
    However, existing electronic attendance management systems require high cost and special equipment such as RFID or NFC to operate the system. Also by sending the attendance information in a non-classroom, there is a problem of an illegal attendance.
    In this thesis, we propose an electronic attendance system as follows. First, our system requires low cost. Since smartphones are very popular nowadays. Second, our system can be applied to all smartphones as our system rely on voice communication channel using speaker and microphone of the smartphone for checking attendance. Third, our system can prevent an illegal attendance. Since voice communications are possible only within a short range.
