Church vitalization through nurturing area leader : Centered on Pohang Pyungkang Church = 구역지도자 양성을 통한 구역활성화 방안 : 포항평강교회 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

필자가 섬기는 교회는 1984. 12. 30 오후 3시에 현 소재지에서 개척 설립 예배를 드렸다. 당시 교회주변은 대한 주택공사에서 지은 5층 건물인 주공 APT 670세대가 입주를 했고, 그 주위는 전부 허허 벌판이었다. 세월이 흘러 오늘에 이르러는 교회주변이 APT 밀집지역으로 변화되었다. 이런 상황에서 필자가 섬기는 교회도 성장해왔다. 나름대로 교회가 성장해 오면서 점점 구역활동을 시작하게 되었고, 구역이 세부적으로 나눠지다 보니 구역지도자가 부족하였다. 구역지도자가 없으니 자연 구역활동이 저하되었다. 지난해에는 5-10가정을 구역조직을 했는데, 현재는 구역지도자 부족으로 인하여 20-30 세대를 한 구역으로 뭉쳐 구역지도자 중심으로 구역활동을 하고 있다. 그래서 구역이 성장하기 위하여 구역지도자 양성을 하여 구역목회 활성화를 가져오는 것이 필자가 섬기는 교회의 현재 목회 상황이다.
교회의 이상적인 상황은 교회가 활성화 되도록 하기 위하여 구역지도자를 많이 양성하여 구역의 일꾼을 많이 만들어 구역을 활성화시키는 것이다. 구역활성화를 위하여 즉 구역목회가 활성화되어야 하는데, 그러기 위해 구역지도자 양성이 필요함을 느꼈다. 필자는 이번 논문을 통하여 구역지도자 훈련과 양성의 과정을 통해 구역지도자가 구역을 돌보고, 섬기고 작은 교회의 지도자로, 구역지도자로 만들어 나가는 과정과 그 결과를 집필하고자 한다. 필자는 이런 상황에 있는 교회를 분석하고, 비전을 세우고 장애를 제거하고, 타개책을 가져 성장하는 구역을 만들어 보며 그 과정을 틀에 맞추어 맥코믹 목회학 박사 논문을 작성코자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The church I have been serving served the first worship at 3 p.m on Dec. 30, 1984 at the present site. At that time there were Apartments of 5-storied with 670 households constructed by Korea Housing Corporation around the church. Around the apartments and our church there was the wide wilderness. As the days pass the vicinity of our church has changed into crowded places of residences of apartments.
Under these contexts our church has been grown. Through putting all my effort the area activities have been implemented with the growth of our church., but our church has had the shortage of the number of area leader as new area has been organized. Without area leader the area activities are not active.
Last year our church organized area system to have 5-10 households but owing to the lack of area leader the area activities have been performed with 20-30 households as one area members. Current situations of our church request the nurturing of area leaders to make area grow and vitalize the area ministry.
The ideal situation of the church is vitalizing area by nurturing many area leaders. I recognized the necessity of nurturing area leader for vitalizing area ministry. Through this dissertation I made effort in writing the process and the result of my plan mainly on training the area leaders. The area leaders shall serve and care their area members through area ministry.
I tried to analyze the situations, made vision, removed the impediments and organized the area through interventions as I have been taught from D. Min Program of McCormick Theological Seminary.
