Recent investigations have shown that digital filter structures can be derived from analog doubly-terminated lossless ladder networks.
A design Procedure is given which enables digital filter to be derived directly from ladder LC networks.
The derivation is based on an element-by-by element transfer of the ladder components to the digital domain.
A specific set of constraints are imposed on the transformations in this Paper so as to satisfy the realisablility. The mannor in which such a transfer is achived is dependent on einear voltage curreut transformation.
This paper uses a design method relying on scattering parameters which has already been described by author and by others.
Finally an example is talsen to exemplify the this design method.
