한글 단어완성과제에서 나타난 음절체의 역할 = The Role of Antibody in Word Completion Task in Korean Language

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Many previous studies have focused on the role of syllables or individual letters in Korean language. In this study, however, we conducted a word-completion task to explore the role of antibody, which is a sub-unit of syllable, in word recognition in Korean language. For this, participants were asked to perform lexical decision task with incomplete form of words or non-words. Those words had only onset-vowel or vowel-coda. As results, the response time in the lexical decision task were faster and slower for vowel-coda than for onset-vowel in the word and non-word conditions respectively. These pattern suggest that sub-unit of syllable such as antibody engages in word recognition in Korean language and the results of the current study provide prileminary data for this argument.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한글의 어휘 처리 단위로 음절이나 개개의 낱자에 대한 연구는 많이 행해져 왔다. 본 연구에서는 한글 단어를 재인하는데 있어서 음절의 하위 요소인 음절체의 역할을 알아보기 위하여 단어완성과제를 실시하였다. 실험에서는 초성과 중성(예: 푸)이나 중성과 종성을 먼저 제시하여 이를 바탕으로 단어가 될 수 있는 여부를 판단하게 하였다. 그 결과 단어가 될 수 있는 조건에서는 중성과 종성을 먼저 제시하는 것이 어휘판단에 있어서 유리하였고, 비단어 조건에서는 초성과 종성을 먼저 제시하는 조건이 유리하였다. 이는 한글 재인에 있어서 음절 내 하위 요소가 어떠한 방식으로든 개입한다는 것을 의미하여 음절체가 그 단위일 수 있다는 기초 데이터를 제공하였다.
