In Korea, the number of single-person households is steadily increasing. While designing apartments, it is important to consider not only spaces suitable for family units but also complexes that can accommodate single-person households and provide community spaces. Based on our research on areas with a high concentration of single-person households and a lack of community spaces, we have selected Sinrim-dong as our target location. Among the existing apartments in the eastern region, the Eastern Apartments align well with our project goals. The reason being that the stream flowing alongside the Eastern Apartments currently causes a disruption in pedestrian connectivity. Therefore, our direction aims to maintain the existing pathway while also providing a cohesive axis that connects the city.
