배우자의 정서적 지지가 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향 = The Effect of Spouse Emotional Support on Marital Satisfaction : The Mediating Effects of Self-Esteem and Couple Communication

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 배우자의 정서적 지지가 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 이 관계에서 자아존중감과 부부의사소통의 매개효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 또한 이들 변인의 관계구조가 성별에 따라 차이가 있는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 272명의 기혼남성과 286명의 기혼여성이었으며 본 연구의 분석을 위해서 AMOS 22를 사용하여 구조방정식을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 배우자의 정서적 지지는 자아존중감과 부부의사소통, 결혼만족도에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 2) 자아존중감과 부부의사소통은 배우자의 정서적 지지와 결혼만족도와의 관계에서 유의미한 매개효과를 가지는것으로 나타났다. 3) 배우자의 정서적 지지와 자아존중감, 부부의사소통, 결혼만족도의 다 집단분석에서 기혼남성과 기혼여성은 구조모형에서 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 기혼남성은 배우자의 정서적 지지가 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향이 유의미하지 않았으며 기혼여성은 자아존중감이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향이 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과로볼 때 결혼만족도에 있어 배우자의 정서적 지지가 중요한 변인이며, 성별에 따라서 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 변인들의 구조에 있어 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study were to investigate the effect of spouse emotional support on marital satisfaction among married men and women, to explore mediating effects of self-esteem and communication, and to find out gender differences on relationship among variables. Subjects were 272 of married men and 286 of married women. Structural
equational models were conducted with Amos 21.0. The major findings are as follows: 1) Spouse emotional support had direct effects on self-esteem, communication, and marital satisfaction. Self-esteem and communication had direct impacts on marital satisfaction. 2)Self-esteem and communication did mediate between spouse emotional support and marital satisfaction. 3) There was gender differences on the relationship of variables. There was no
significant effect between spouse emotional support and marital satisfaction among married men. The findings of this study suggest that spouse emotional support, self-esteem, and communication are important variable for improving marital satisfaction. Also, different approaches are need for married men and married women for their marital satisfaction.
