중복게재 예방을 위한 연구자와 학회의 책임 = Responsibilities of Researchers and Academic Society for Preventing Redundant Publication

Redundant publication is a topic that is frequently controversial along with plagiarism, unfair authorship, and poor academic activities in publication ethics, an important sub-area of ​​research ethics. Some researchers know what redundant publication is and why it is a problem in recycling their previous research results, but they do not know or misunderstand specifically what types of redundant publication are and when they fall under redundant publications. This is because there is a large difference in factors and criteria for judging redundant publications depending on the academic field and the method or characteristics of research. Therefore, in this paper, after examining the meaning, characteristics, and types of redundant publication, I have collected and answered the questions that the members of Korea Society Moral & Ethics Education Association want to know more clearly or still have a lot of room for misunderstanding in relation to the recent issues surrounding redundant publication, Through this, it is suggested what the responsibilities of researchers and the members of Korea Society Moral & Ethics Education Association are necessary to meet the recently strengthened research ethics and prevent redundant publication.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

중복게재(redundant publication)는 연구윤리의 중요한 하위 영역인 출판윤리(publication ethics)에서 표절, 부당한 저자표시, 부실한 학술활동과 함께 자주 논의되고 있는 주제이다. 그렇지만 연구자들 중에는 중복게재의 의미와 유형이 무엇이며, 자신의 이전 연구 내용을 재활용할 때 어떻게 해야 중복게재에 해당되지 않는지에 대해서는 잘 모르거나 오해하는 경우가 많다. 그만큼 학문 분야, 연구의 방법이나 특성에 따라 중복게재를 판단하는 요소나 기준에서 차이가 크기 때문이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 중복게재의 의미와 특성 및 유형에 대해 살펴본 후, 최근 중복게재를 둘러싼 여러 쟁점과 관련하여 한국도덕윤리과교육학회 회원들이 보다 명확하게 알고 싶어 하거나 여전히 오해할 여지가 많은 질문들을 모아 이에 답하는 방식으로 논의를 전개하였다. 이를 통해 최근 강화된 연구윤리에 부응하고 특히 중복게재를 예방하기 위해 필요한 연구자와 한국도덕윤리과교육학회의 책임이 무엇인지를 제시하였다.
