The results of this study have shown that Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi extract(SB) and Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi extract fermented with Leatiporus sulphureus var. miniatus(F/SB) had anti-inflammatory action and the whitening effect. So, the results of the analysis canbe suggested as follows. Leatiporus sulphureus var. miniatus was cultivated in Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi extract(SB) for 10 days. And then, when β-glucosidase were measured, the actual measurement showed that when it was cultivated for 7days, it was mostidealistic result. So, F/SB incubated for 7days was used for experiment. RAW 264.7 were stimulated with Lipopolysaccaride (LPS),which plays role in passive immune response. And When inflammatory mediators, NO, COX-2, and TNF-α was measured, the F/SB, fermentation substance, in comparison with SB, extract substance, was significantly shown the anti-inflammatory effect. When inhibitive action of melanin production associated with whitening effect and inhibition of tyrosinase activity were measured, the inhibition of melanin production on Melanoma B16-F10 cells showed the significant inhibitory effect on F/SB, compared with SB. But inhibiting effect of acting on the enzyme of tyrosinase which acts on Melanin biosynthesis was not shown. These results have suggested that SB and F/SB were the higher an anti-inflammatory effect and inhibiting of melanogenesis showed the effective results. Through identifying these efficacy, in the future, the results of this study are to expect to develop the effective fermented cosmetic materials for alleviation effect on skin inflammatory and whitening effect.
