김정은 정권의 현지지도 수행빈도를 통해 본 엘리트 변동 연구: 주요 인사의 로동신문 등장빈도 분석을 중심으로 = Study on the Changes in Power Elite of Kim Jong-un's Regime in North Korea: Focused on the Analysis of Frequency of Major Figures Appearing in Rodong Shinmun

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of changes in power elite of North Korea during the three years and eight months of Kim Jong-un's power and last 1 year of Kim Jong-il era. It will specifically focus on examining the frequency and trend of the names of power elite appearing in Rodong Shinmun. Accordingly, 768 articles mentioning the names of elite in Rodong Shinmun from January 2011 to August 2015 were selected. Accordingly, this study analyzed the trend during the period of four years and eight months, and examined the changes in the order of names of the Political Bureau mentioned as well as their characteristics.
Conclusively, this study showed that there was a characteristic of existing elites closely accompanying Kim Jong-un during the early period of power but the frequency of utilizing new and young competent staffs increased over time. Accordingly, attendants accompanying Kim Jong-un are gradually changing and compared to 2011, 50.6% of figures changed in recent. However, the result showed that there were not many changes in 20-30 top officials mentioned as the Political Bureau at major national events. In summary, there were some changes at the practical level of North Korea's elites based on the analysis of elites during the era of Kim Jong-un but only limited change was shown at the level of top officials. Accordingly, there is a limitation in connecting the result with the stability or disorder of the system in North Korea.
