In the process of modernizing everything in a modernized society, the architectural industry has also gone through modernization and is still going through it.
With various construction technologies, buildings have developed into huge and complex structures, and technologies and processes have also been developed to integrate and manage information generated during the life cycle leading to the planning, design, construction, and maintenance stages of construction projects, making them an issue in the overall construction industry and inevitable new technologies have also emerged.
However, industrial accidents still have a high incidence throughout the construction industry, especially in small construction sites, so this paper attempted to apply BIM as a way to solve this problem.
First of all, we analyzed why high industrial accidents occur at small construction sites, and as a result of the analysis, it was found that the biggest reason was not securing the implementation budget for industrial safety and health management expenses, and because most small construction sites do not secure safety budgets to prevent industrial accidents, institutional arrangements for securing and using industrial safety and health management expenses are urgently required.
In this regard, it was also suggested in previous studies that a strong institutional mechanism is needed, such as depositing some of the related costs for the use of occupational safety and health management costs at the site during the completion inspection, inspecting the use of industrial safety and health management costs, and taking back the unused amount.
Therefore, in this paper, research was attempted to secure occupational safety and health management expenses in advance in the BIM-based licensing process, and in this process, the application of neighborhood living facilities corresponding to small-scale construction was referred to.Due to the limitations of the study, it was judged that the development of an integrated BIM-based licensing process suitable for Korea was necessary to apply it to the BIM-based process in the United States.
