This study focuses on the learning process of confucians in Chosun Dynasty the of 18th century. To do so, I applied micro-history approach which investigate on learning experiences of an individual, and understand the life history of him. I try to investigate on life history of Song Myung-hum(宋明欽, 1705~1768) who isa prominent confucian in the 18th century. I found out that his academic growth is sustained by education system of his family, and disciple education system of Yi Jae(李縡1680-1746) and learning community consisting of confucian learners. I think that this case suggest concern for the primary role of nonformal education systemin confucian education of Chosun dynasty of 18th century.
