교육공학 전공생을 위한 기업가정신 교육의 효과 분석 = The Effects of Entrepreneurship Education on Educational Technology Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

With society’s recent transition to an entrepreneurial economy, entrepreneurship education has gained significance, especially as a necessary competency for educational technologists. This study therefore aims to implement entrepreneurship education for educational technology students and to verify its effectiveness. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected from 23 educational technology students who participated in entrepreneurship education in the second semester of 2019 at E University. Preand post-entrepreneurship survey response data were analyzed to access the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education through a paired sample t-test. Open-ended survey response data and essays were also evaluated through constant comparative method to identify what students learned from entrepreneurship education and their perceptions on the significance of entrepreneurship. The results of the study are as follows. First, students showed statistically significant improvements in all sub-factors of entrepreneurship (need for achievement, locus of control, risk-taking, creativity, and self-efficacy). Second, they learned the necessity of entrepreneurship, possessing a challenge spirit unafraid of failure, management thinking, and reflecting on their career. Third, the key ideas of entrepreneurship among educational technologists were recognized as proactiveness leading to educational change, practicability, and innovativeness in instructional design. The effects of entrepreneurship education on educational technology students were thus verified empirically. The study addresses the need for entrepreneurship education that fosters proactiveness, practicality, and innovativeness in the process of creating, managing, and implementing innovative education for educational technologists.
