    A new algonthm for the analtsis of the capacitor discharge pulse inagnetizer is presented in this paper using fimte element method and Preisach model. The eddy current and nonlinear phenomena are taken into account in firute element analytsis because a big current flows momentary at the magnetic field is computed by using the finite element method magnetization dependent Preisach model is used to sunulae the hysterisis curve and get the magnetization The obtained remnant magnetization may be used as an input for the motor performance. analysys Through a numencal exarnple with the magnetizer for the VCR drum motor, it is shown that the suggested algorithm gives good demagnetization curves of the rubber ferrite magnet and is useful for computing the remnant magnetic flux density of the permanent magnet.
