천주교 본당의 사회복지활동과 인적·조직적 요인에 관한 연구 : 대구대교구를 중심으로 = A STUDY ON SOCIAL WELFARE ACTIVITIES IN THE CATHOLIC PARISH AND INDIVIDUAL, ORGANIZATIONAL FACTORS : Focused on the Catholic Taegu Archdiocese Parish

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine social welfare activity of the catholic taegu archdiocese parish making the chief of social welfare department an object of study and to determine of the individual factors and the organizational factors that is related to social welfare activities in the parish. The study expects to help social welfare activities of the parish to be more effective.
The study surveyed the parishes in taegu archdiocese on the basis of December, 2005. A total of 83 questionnaires from the total 119 parishes were collected and analysis(rate of withdrawal 69.16%).
The major findings are as follow :
First, the degree of social welfare education for the lay believers, homily and preaching of the parish priest is related to the number of parish social welfare program. In the degree of the social welfare education of the chief of social welfare department, the degree has been increased in the number of monthly clients.
Second, the lay believers an account and the parish budget are connected with all of the social welfare activities-the number of programs, the budget and the number of monthly clients. The budget of social welfare department has been increased when local inhabitants in the parish are high standard of living. The number of programs followed by the decision-making structure have meaningful difference. There is no difference in social welfare activities of the parish-the number of programs, the budget and the number of monthly clients-by organizational factors of social welfare department.
Based on these findings, the implications for social welfare activity to improve social welfare activity of the catholic taegu archdiocese parish are as follow :
First, in the individual factors, a course of the priest's social welfare is required to be strengthened by the programs of the formation and training of priests, to send seminarians to social welfare facilities. And inviting the parish priest to social welfare activities and meeting is suggested. For the chief of social welfare department, it is necessary of guarantee of one's long-term office, systemic regular education and the employ of social welfare specialists.
Second, in the organizational factors, it is necessary for the parish to inform the lay believers of parish social welfare activities. In addition, it is necessary for more believers to take part in parish social welfare activities so as to improve them. Parish social welfare budget should also be increased up on more than 7% of the parish total budget. In the parish decision-making structure, the intensification of independence of social welfare department is suggested. In the relation with other agencies, the relationship of the neighboring social welfare facilities, agencies and the executive agencies should be intensified in the factors of their cooperation and consideration.
