      The study aims to compare the characteristics of high temperature oxidation in various High Si Ductile Cast Iron (HSOCI) in order to improve the material for exhaust manifolds which require stronger heat resistance. The specimens containing 2~6% Si and 0~4%Mo were heated in 650℃~950℃ for 100hrs, and 650℃ for 5~20 day. Consequently, amount of oxidation were decreased<br/>
      with increase of Si, Mo, due to the formation of Fe₂SiO₄and Mo carbide. As the amount of Si and Mo increase, hardness is increased but charpy impact energy in deceased. This is because that the Si solution and Mo carbide in matrix increase with increase of Si, Mo. As a result of addition of various alloy elements in the cast iron which contained 3.5%C, anti-oxidation property is improved, but toughness is decreased with increase of Si, Mo
