여성복지적 관점에서의 탈 상품화에 대한 대안적 개념의 고찰 및 함의 = Alternative concepts for the welfare of women in welfare states and its implications

The paper attempts to analyze how women`s welfare are fared in the various regimes of welfare states. The development of welfare states has been based on the concept of decommodification and equality among social classes. However, these concepts assume equal distribution among men and women. As women`s condition of life has changed, women are more vulnerable in the existing welfare frameworks. In order to analyze women`s vulnerability, the followings are analyzed in relations to women :the development of social rights, traditional family ideology, women`s care work in the family, and the feminization of poverty. To improve women`s welfare in the welfare states, several concepts were presented by several authors. The level of personal autonomy and the level of independence and breadwinner-individual continuum include several areas of life in the public and the private. These concepts show the direction what to do in order to improve women`s welfare. They coincide with the gender mainstreaming of social welfare policy and of the delivery of social services.
