The extensive genetic and molecular study was done in many aspects for genes involved in anthocyanin biosynthesis pathway. In order to study the anthocyanin biosynthesis pathway, we const ructed a fusion gene between Crysanthemum flavanone 3- hydroxylase and binary vector pGA 748 plasmid containing neomycinphosphot ransferase II gene. Transgenic plants of these genotypes were generated through disarmed st rain of Agrobacterium tumefaciens LBA 4404, carrying regulatory gene F3H. Putative transgenic plants were selected on medium containing 100 ug/ml kanamycin, 500 ug/ ml carbanicillin, 500ug/ml cefotaxime and 1 ug/ml BA and confirmed by PCR. PCR analysis indicated that the npt II gene was stably integrated into Nicotiana tabacum.
