The Stress distribution in a plate into which a crack is generated has been studied by many investigators since then the use of photoelasticity for determining stress intensity factors suggested by Irwin.
In this paper, by means of photoelastic apparatus, has been investigated mutual interference of crack when finite strip with linear crack on both sides is subjected to pure bending moment.
The results obtained are summerized in two graphs in detail.
