반복되는 멜로디가 가지는 전달성에 관한 연구 : 미스사이공을 주제로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

반복은 다양한 분야에서 사용이 된다. 교육적인 반복뿐만 아니라 문화 예술에도 반복은 흔하게 사용된다. 반복을 통해 사람들은 기억을 하게 된다. 이미지의 반복을 통한 기억도 있지만 음악을 통한 반복은 훨씬 더 오래 잔상이 남는다. 이 논문에서는 반복적인 멜로디가 가지는 전달성에 대해 뮤지컬 미스사이공(Miss saigon)을 통해서 연구하였다. 미스사이공은 4마디 이상의 리프라이즈가 다수 존재하는 뮤지컬이다. 첫째 뮤지컬의 메인 테마로 사용하였을 경우에 대해서 연구하였다. 대다수의 뮤지컬은 메인 테마 리프(Riff)를 가지고 있다. 이는 뮤지컬의 전체적인 시대를 나타내기도 하고, 뮤지컬의 주인공의 등장을 나타내기도 하며 극적인 장면을 사용하는 것에 사용되기도 한다. 둘째로는 레치타티보를 사용하였을 경우에 대해서 연구하였다. 뮤지컬 미스 사이공은 레치타티보가 많이 등장하는 뮤지컬이다. 특이하게 이 뮤지컬은 레치타티보에서도 통일된 멜로디를 사용하였다. 이를 통해 어떠한 전달성이 있는지 연구하였다. 셋째로는 뮤지컬의 등장인물에 성격에 대한 테마 반복을 연구하였다. 흔히 라이트모티프(Lifemotif)라고 이야기하는 테마 반복을 그 것에 그치지 않고 인물의 전체 성격을 분석하여 극적으로 어떠한 형식으로 사용 되었는지를 연구하였다. 넷째로는 반주로 사용 되었던 멜로디가 넘버로 변화 하였을 때 대해서 연구하였다. 다섯 번째로는 반복이 되지 않은 곡을 분석하여 반복이 되지 않은 이유에 대해서 연구하였다. 뮤지컬에서 리프라이즈는 중요한 역할을 한다. 한 뮤지컬당 1곡의 리프라이즈는 꼭 존재할 만큼 뮤지컬의 구성요소로써 중요한 역할을 한다.
이 논문은 뮤지컬에서 반복된 멜로디가 가진 전달성에 관한 내용을 담았다. 뮤지컬의 반복뿐 아니라 문화예술의 반복을 함께 알아봄으로써 반복의 긍정적인 효과에 대해서 이야기하였다. 뮤지컬의 반복은 다양하게 사용된다. 인물의 테마로 사용되기도 하며 전체 뮤지컬의 배경을 이끌어가는 선율로 사용되기도 한다. 뮤지컬의 작곡가들에게 전달성을 가진 반복의 효과를 이야기하고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Repetition is used in a variety of fields. Repetition is common in cultural arts as well as educational repetition. Through repetition, people remember. There is a memory of repetition of images, but repetition through music is long removed. In this paper, we studied the transmittability of repetitive melodies in the musical Miss Saigon. Miss Saigon is a musical with more than four words of maples. We studied the case when it was used as the main theme of the first musical. Most musicals have a main theme leaf. It represents the overall age of the musical, the appearance of the main character of the musical, and the use of dramatic scenes. Second, we studied the use of Lechittativo. ‘Miss Saigon’ is a musical with many recitations. Strangely, the musical also used a unified melody in the repertoire. This was used to study how it could be communicated. Third, he studied the theme repetition of character in musical characters. Rather than just repeating the theme, which is often referred to as the lifemotif, the entire personality of the character was analyzed to find out how it was used dramatically. Fourth, he studied when the melody used for accompaniment was changed to number. Fifth, they analyzed the songs that were not repeated and studied why they were not repeated. In a musical, Leaf Rise plays an important role. One of the most important elements of a musical is that it exists for each musician.
The paper is about the transmittability of repeated melodies in musicals. We talked about the positive effects of repetition by looking at the repetition of the musical as well as the repetition of the cultural art. The repetition of the musical is used in various ways. It is used as a theme for characters and as a melody that leads to the background of the entire musical. I would like to talk to the composers of musicals about the effects of repetition that can be communicated.
