청소년 자녀가 지각한 어머니 공감과 어머니가 보고한 공감의 차이 연구 = The study of difference between the maternal empathy perceived by children and the one responded by mothers themselves

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 부모의 공감을 측정함에 있어서 청소년 자녀가 지각한 것과 부모가 보고하는 것 중 어느 측정 방법이 더 유용한지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 먼저 청소년이 지각한 부모공감척도를 부모가 보고하는 형식으로 수정한 부모공감척도에 대한 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 부모공감척도 부모용의 5요인 구조 적합도는 양호하게 나타났다. 그리고 청소년 자녀가 지각한 어머니의 공감과 어머니가 보고한 공감 간 차이가 있는지 분석한 결과, 어머니가 보고한 공감이 자녀가 지각한 어머니의 공감보다 유의하게 높은 점수를 보였다. 또한 자녀의 지각보다 공감을 더 많이 한다고 보고한 어머니들이 자녀의 지각과 차이를 적게 보이는 어머니들에 비하여 사회적 선희도1)와 방어기제의 왜곡 요인의 점수가 높았고, 투사 요인에서는 낮은 점수를 나타냈다. 한편, 자녀가 지각한 어머니의 공감이 어머니가 보고한 공감보다 자녀의 내현적 자기애와 더 높은 상관을 보였다. 따라서 부모의 공감을 측정함에 있어서, 자녀가 지각한 부모의 공감을 측정하는 것이 부모가 보고하는 공감을 측정하는 것보다 더 유용하다고 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to examine which method is more effective to measure parental empathy: reports of perceived parental empathy by adolescents and reports of parental empathy by parents. Result of confirmatory factor analysis indicated that five-factor solution represented the observed data well. Comparing scores from the two scales showed that those showing higher scores on mothers’ reports on parental empathy than their children exhibited higher levels of social desirability and distortion factor and lower scores in projection than those showing no differences in reports by mothers and their adolescents. Scores of perceived empathy by children exhibited higher correlation with children's covert narcissism than scores of parental empathy reported by mothers. In conclusion, a report by adolescents is more effective than a report by parents to measure parental empathy.
