고가 가로정원이 직장인의 심리적 회복에 미치는 영향 : 서울로 7017을 사례로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 40년간 고가도로의 역할에서 도시재생 프로젝트의 일환으로 고가 가로정원으로 변모한 서울로 7017을 이용하는 직장인들을 대상으로 도시 내 새로운 녹지공간이 제공하는 주위회복환경에 대한 효과를 규명하고자 수행하였다. 2017년 10월에 서울로 7017을 이용하는 직장인(n=133) 대상으로 PRS(Perceived Restorativeness Scale)와 ZIPERS(Zuckerman Inventory of Personal Reaction Scale)를 활용하여 심리적 회복에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.
서울로 7017 고가 가로정원을 이용하는 직장인을 대상으로 한 회복환경지각척도(PRS) 요인분석 결과 기분전환(Diversion), 지루함(Boring), 짜임새(Coherence), 적합성(Compatibility)과 같이 4개의 하위요인으로 나타났으며, 전체 PRS 평균은 6.27(SD=1.97)로 도출되었다. 설문 응답자 정보와 PRS의 T-검증, ANOVA 분석결과 기분전환과 적합성에서 높은 점수가 나타나 전반적으로 심리적 회복감은 높은 것으로 판단된다. ZIPERS의 5개 항목은 요인분석에 의해 긍정적인 영향, 부정적인 영향의 2개 성분으로 분류되었으며, 긍정적인 영향 평균은 3.37(SD=.93)로 나타났다. 또한 방문 횟수, 접근성, 시야 유무에 따라서도 회복효과 및 심리적 스트레스에 긍정적인 효과가 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 새롭게 조성된 서울로 7017의 고가 가로정원은 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 직장인들에게 스트레스 해소 및 치유환경으로 심리적 안정과 치유효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was conducted to investigate attention restoration effects provided by Seoullo 7017, an elevated public skygarden newly transformed from a 40-year-old overpass as a part of a urban revitalization project. In October 2017, a questionnaire survey utilizing PRS(Perceived Restorativeness Scale) and ZIPERS(Zuckerman Inventory of Personal Reaction Scale) was conducted to employees visiting the Seoullo 7017 and 133 useable responses were collected. From a series of factor analyses of PRS and ZIPERS items, four PRS factors were derived from 16 PRS items and named as ‘Diversion,’ ‘Boring,’ ‘Coherence’ and ‘Compatibility’; and two ZIPERS factors were made out of twelve ZIPERS items and named as ‘Positive impacts’ and ‘Negative impacts.’ Significant differences in restoration effects and psychological stress were found according to a frequency of visits, accessibility, and whether or not Seoullo 7017 was seen from offices. In conclusion, the newly generated Seoullo 7017 were found to have healing effects such as relief from stress and psychological stability of employees who can easily access to the garden.
