모티프 라이팅을 이용한 무용창작수업 설계 : 예술중학교 무용전공자들을 대상으로 = A Design for Creative Dance Class by Using Motif Writing : Focus on Young Dancers in Arts Middle Schools

A dance has been remarkably developed in the 21st century, based on the technical education. Creative dance education, however, which develops dancers' creativity, depends upon only teachers' discretion, due to lack of its conceptual frame or an applicable program. In addition, as arts middle schools cannot spend a lot of time to give the students systematic dance classes, dance creation class needs to be aimed at integrated education to cover the whole area of dance education, as well as improvement of creativity.
Accordingly, this study suggested a field of dance education to be conducted in dance creation classes, selected Motif Writing as a main factor for dance creation classes, examined the concept of Motif Writing, and designed dance creation classes intended for the students who major in dance in arts middle schools.
Creative dance classes by using Motif Writing have an integrated education type to cover the whole four fields of dance education, suggested by McCutchen, such as creative dance (creation), dance movement and performance of creative work (Performing), knowledge of the principle of dance movement and dance genre (knowing how), appreciation and evaluation of specialist's dance and other students' works (responding).
Creative dance classes by using Motif Writing will improve the students' ability to understand and analyze the principle of movement, along with their creativity through creation activities, and make them grow up as a dancer for the whole person, by even considering the aspect of appreciation and evaluation. Creative dance classes may be applicable in the field of dance class, and are expected to help dance teachers to develop proper programs, because creation classes may be corrected and applied in various ways.
