This paper compares the eMMC and UFS bandwidth performance and studies the optimal block size for UFS. For the evaluation, we used FIO that can support sequential and random access for Read/Write. As a result, UFS showed 101% higher bandwidth performance than eMMC. UFS showed high efficiency in 32 KB ~ 128 KB block size. Further study on efficient read/write of UFS is needed.
