This study discussed whether it can be used as tourism content by combining K-Culture with local cultural resources, and explored ways to use it as global cultural tourism content. In addition, we presented the direction of the strategy of utilizing marine K-Culture in Gyeongju, which has the storytelling element of King Munmu and the marine tourism resource of King Munmu, and attempted an exploratory study from the perspective of combining the tourism industry and marine K-Culture. First, the possibility and necessity of grafting between K-Culture and cultural tourism contents were discussed, and policy discussions for establishing and branding the concept of K-Culture were examined. In addition, the current status of the tourism industry in Gyeongju was analyzed, and improvements were derived through review evaluation of visitors to the tomb of King Munmu. Based on this, the direction of the strategy for utilizing marine K-Culture in Gyeongju was presented in four main ways. First, a plan to expand the enjoyment of marine culture contents through tourism was proposed, and second, a plan to creatively utilize marine tourism resources and commercialize tourism was derived. Third, a plan to add value to the tourism industry using marine K-Culture, and finally, a plan to establish a tourism brand and digital marketing in connection with K-content were presented. As an exploratory approach, this study needs to lead to the discovery of marine K-Culture contents in Gyeongju and the preparation of specific implementation strategies for global cultural tourism contents through follow-up studies applying various research methods in the future. In addition, such research needs to be expanded beyond Gyeongju to discuss ways to establish the concept of Korea's marine K-Culture, build branding, and expand into global tourism content.
