    This study is Korea's public patent filed after January 2000. And based on the patent analysis for the analysis of registered patents and the 2015 regional industry related table provided by the Bank of Korea, the ripple effect of the main industry in Daejeon on the front and rear industries was analyzed. We looked at the production-inducing effect and value-added-inducing effect, and compared and analyzed the inter-industry chain effect. If you summarize the main analysis results and policy implications, the following.
    First, as a result of analyzing the economic ripple effect through the calculation of the inducement coefficient of all industries, it can be seen that the production inducement effect has a great effect on the local economy in the manufacturing sector, and the value-added inducement effect has a great effect on the service sector on the local economy. This is to promote the nurturing policy of the production stage in the manufacturing sector to revitalize the local economy, and the nurturing policy in the service sector is also important to increase local gross domestic product, create jobs, and expand employment. Next, we can see that the influence coefficient of the main industry is 1 or more, and the final demand for goods has a large impact on the economy as a whole. However, it is necessary to formulate a comprehensive plan for the promotion of science and technology, taking into account the impact of the front and back industries directly and indirectly related to the main industries. Lastly, this study analyzes the ripple effect on the local economy through patent analysis, and Daejeon's core industry strategy. It is judged that it can be used as an important basic data in the establishment of revitalization policies such as industry deriving and establishing nurturing measures. In particular, it is expected that it will be an opportunity to expand the scope of research of information obtained from patent information by matching the main industry in a specific region that has been difficult to perform in the academic aspect with the Bank of Korea's regional industry related table, and I think it will be able to provide various implications in the future.
