양육행동과 사회불안의 관계에서 정서표현갈등과 행동억제기질의 조절된 매개효과 검증 = The Effect of Parental Rearing Behavior and Ambivalence over Emotional Expressiveness on Social Anxiety in College Students: The Moderated Mediating Effect of Behavioral Inhibition

The purpose of this study was to examine the moderated mediating effect of behavioral inhibition through ambivalence over emotional expressiveness on the relationship between parental rearing behavior and social anxiety. A total of 265 college students participated in this study by completing the following questionnaires: Social Interaction Anxiety Scale, Inventory for Parenting Behavior Perceived by Adolescents, Ambivalence over Emotional Expressiveness Questionnaire, Retrospective Self-Report of Inhibition. The results of this study were as follows: First, all variables in this study showed statistically significant correlations. Second, mediation effect of ambivalence over emotional expressiveness on the relationship between parental rearing behavior and social anxiety was found. Third, moderation effect of behavioral inhibition on the relationship between parental rearing behavior and ambivalence over emotional expressiveness was found. Finally, behavioral inhibition also moderated the mediating effect of parental rearing behavior on social anxiety through ambivalence over emotional expressiveness. Implication for intervention for college students’ social anxiety and suggestions for future research are discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 부모의 부정적 양육행동과 대학생 사회불안의 관계를 정서표현갈등이 매개하며, 이 경로를 행동억제기질이 조절하는지 확인하기 위하여 조절된 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 대학교에 재학 중인 남녀 학생 293명을 대상으로 사회적 상호작용 불안 척도, 부모 양육행동 척도, 한국판 정서표현갈등 질문지, 한국판 자기보고식 회고적 억제 척도를 사용하여 설문을 실시하였으며, 총 분석에는 265명의 학생의 자료가 사용되었다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 부와 모의 부정적 양육행동, 행동억제기질, 정서표현갈등, 사회불안 간의 상호 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 둘째, 매개효과 검증 결과, 정서표현갈등이 부와 모의 부정적 양육행동과 사회불안의 관계를 완전매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부와 모의 부정적 양육행동과 정서표현갈등 사이에서 행동억제기질의 조절효과 검증결과, 양육행동과 행동억제기질의 유의한 상호작용 효과가 나타났다. 마지막으로, SPSS Macro를 이용한 조절된 매개효과 분석 결과, 부와 모의 부정적 양육행동과 사회불안의 관계를 정서표현갈등이 매개하며, 이 경로가 행동억제기질 수준에 따라 조절되는 것으로 나타나 조절된 매개효과가 검증되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의 및 대학생 사회불안 개입에 대한 시사점, 후속연구를 위한 제언에 관하여 논의하였다.
