군 장기 복무 전역예정자의 직업보도교육 경험에 관한 질적 연구 = A Qualitative Study on the Experiences of those who are under Vocational Guidance and Counseling Education of the Discharged Soldiers’Reentry to Society after Long-term Military Service

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is aimed at supporting the discharged soldiers’ reentry to society after long-term military service. In order to understand those who are under vocational guidance training preparing for a change of occupation, and will be discharged from military service ‘as they are,’ and to support their reentry to society without any problem, a qualitative study was implemented for ten people. The result is as follows.
First, those who will be discharged feel regret, disappointment, loss of confidence and intention, and limited range of objectives. Accordingly, it is necessary to encourage them to join the training at least three years before being discharged and manage their careers during military service, and to provide even those who service in the remote unit with an opportunity to learn for life.
Second, for smooth reentry to society from military service, it is urgent to prepare various systems to understand the discharged soldiers after long-term military service, and to create jobs.
Third, in addition to prepare a plan to standardize military and social careers, soldiers’ careers have to be managed from the time of joining the army, in connection with society, in the aspect of managing military human resources.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 군 장기 복무 제대예정자의 원활한 사회 이행지원 방안의 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 직업보도교육에 있는 전직을 준비하는 전역예정자를 ‘있는 그대로’의 이해와 사회로의 원활한 이행을 위해 질적 연구를 실시하였고 그 대상은 10명으로, 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 직업보도교육 기간 중인 전역예정자들의 경험적 이해는 미안함, 실망감, 두려움으로 가족과 지인 등 관계인에게 미안함, 자신과 의욕 떨어짐, 목표를 두고 실행하기 두려움 등이다. 따라서 적어도 전역 3년 전부터 제대군인들에게 회원가입을 유도하여 군에서 경력관리를 할 수 있도록 대비하고, 격오지 부대 근무자까지 평생학습 기회를 제공되어야 한다.
둘째, 군에서 사회로의 원활한 이행을 위해서는 장기 복무 제대예정자의 이해에 터한 다양한 제도 마련과 일자리 창출이 시급하다.
셋째, 군 경력과 사회경력의 표준화 마련과 아울러 군 인적자원관리 측면에서 경력관리가 사회와 연계하여 군 입관(대)시부터 관리되어야 한다.
