또 다른 시선으로 경기민속 바라보기

국문 초록 (Abstract)

지역학의 중요한 목적 중 하나는 지역사회의 바람직한 발전 방향을 모색하고 제시하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 지역학은 조사대상이 되는 지역사회의 과거를 돌아보고, 현재의 상황을 파악하여, 미래의 비전을 제시하는 전통의 창조적 계승을 염두에 두어야 한다.
그런데 경기도는 서울의 근교 지역이라는 어원이 말해주듯 전국의 문화와 물류가 서울로 모이기 위해, 그 반대로 서울에서 전국으로 퍼져나가기 위해 필연적으로 거쳐야 하는 길목이었다. 이로 말미암아 경기학의 대상이 되는 경기도의 각 시·군들은 자체 지역의 역사와 문화뿐만이 아니라 팔도의 문화가 뒤섞여 있어서 지역의 정체성을 밝히는 작업조차 쉽지 않다. 이 글에서는 길, 장시, 포구의 사례를 통해 전통사회로부터 이어오는 경기도의 다양한 문화권을 설정함으로써 이러한 난점을 극복하는 방안을 제시해 보았다.
또한 경기도에서는 현재 다양한 문화사업이 진행되고 있는데, 그 현황과 문제점을 파악하고 제언하여 지역사회의 문화창달에 이바지 하는 것도 경기학의 중요한 과제이다. 이에 필자가 그간 참여했던 문화사업의 실태를 분석하여 문제점을 지적하고 그 개선방안에 관해서도 살펴보았다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

One of the important purposes of area studies is to seek and present desirable development directions for local communities. In order to achieve this goal, area studies should look back in the past of the local community to be investigated, grasp the current situation, and keep in mind the creative succession of tradition that presents a vision for the future.
However, as the etymology of Gyeonggi-do, which is a suburb of Seoul, suggests, it was an inevitable route for culture and logistics from all over the country to gather in Seoul, and vice versa, to spread from Seoul to the whole country. As a result, each city and county in Gyeonggi-do, which is the subject of Gyeonggi-do, has not only the history and culture of its own region, but also the culture of the eight provinces, so it is not easy to reveal the identity of the region. In this article, through the cases of Gil, Jangsi, and Pogu, I suggested ways to overcome these difficulties by setting up various cultural areas in Gyeonggi-do that have been inherited from traditional society.
In addition, various cultural projects are currently underway in Gyeonggi-do, and it is an important task of Gyeonggi Studies to contribute to the development of culture in the local community by identifying and suggesting the current status and problems. In this regard, I analyzed the actual conditions of the cultural projects I have participated in, pointed out problems, and sought ways to improve them.
