This study is to extract a categorization method of geographical knowledge, basic level of geographical concept, criteria of regional recognition on high school student. The high school students are to categorize the geographical knowledge by regional, thematic, periodic categorization which is hierarchical relationship. But they give priority to social categorization than geographical and historical about geography related facts. Basic level categories is 5 level concept in 6 steps by hierarchical classification of geographical concept. According to expand the regional scale, categorization method is different that Dong scale is most important on geographical recognition, City scale is historical recognition, Do scale is geographical, Nation scale is social recognition. Continental scale is higher ratio in geographical recognition than others. This result gives to hint on organize of geographical contents that high school students give priority to social categorization, basic level categories makes 5 level in geographical concept level. And regional recognition is different by regional scale, especially national scale is more important than continental scale in high school students.
