경기도 경력단절여성의 취업욕구 분석 및 지원방안 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purposes of this study are to analyze the employment history and the reasons for women discontinuity in their career, their desire to be employed and awareness of employment policies, and to suggest support policies to boost their employment. In order to accomplish these goals, this study used 1,443 women s data collected by Gyeonggi-Do Family and Women s Research Institute in 2008.
From the data analysis, this study found some important facts. First of all, it found that the major reasons for women to have discontinuity in their career were the difficulty of work-family balance, no vision of the job, and corporation s restructuring, etc. It also found that the reasons of their job searching are just the livelihood, self-development, auxiliary measures of livelihood, private education for children, preparation for the old age. And it found that there are a lot of women who want to be employed in temporary positions, but they want to be the full-time workers and make higher wage. They also would like to be employed in clerical, professional-managerial, and service workers.
From those findings, this study suggests policies to boost employment of job women with discontinuity in their career such as building-up women-friendly environments at the workplace, information provision and network of the corporation s employment news.
