호서지역(湖西地域)의 마한(馬韓)과 백제(百濟) 유적조사(遺蹟調査) 성과(成果) = Results of the 2015 Archaeological Investigations of the Mahan and Baekje Relics in the Hoseo Region

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 2015년도에 호서지역에서 마한 및 백제와 관련된 고고학적 조사성과를 살펴본 것으로서, 충남지역 27개와 충북지역 7개소 등 모두 34개 지점에서 관련 유적들이 조사되었다. 이 중 충남지역에서는 점토대토기 출토 토광묘가 2개소, 원삼국시대 유적이 세종 도계리와 아산 갈매리·천안 정촌리 등 7개소, 백제 관련 유적이 20여 개소에서 조사되었다. 특히 아산 갈매리유적에서는 문헌에 나오는 마한 단계의 木柵城의 실체가 고고학적으로 확인되어 주목되며, 부여 지역에서는 왕실이나 귀족들의 실생활과 관련된 것으로 보이는 수혈식 氷庫가 조사되는 등 백제 사비기의 모습을 이해할 수 있는 다양한 성격의 유적들이 조사되었다. 한편 충북지역의 충주 호암동 적석토광묘에서는 지금까지 남한 지역에서 발굴된 토광묘 가운데 가장 많은 양의 청동기가 출토되었을 뿐만 아니라 2단으로 굴광된 구조가 상세하게 밝혀졌다. 또 오송 봉산리와 청주 송절동 테크노산업단지 조성지구에서는 원삼국∼백제 한성기에 걸쳐 일종의 邑落단위에서 조영된 것으로 보이는 대규모 취락과 무덤·생산시설 등이 넓은 지역에 걸쳐 복합되어 있어, 당시 사회구조를 이해하는데 대단히 중요한 자료를 제공하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis presents the results from the 2015 archeological investigations which were conducted of the Mahan and Baekje relics in the Hoseon region. The investigations covered total thirty-four locations including twenty-seven in Chungcheongnam-do and seven locations in Chungcheongbuk-do. The investigated sites included two wooden coffin tombs from which pottery with clay stripes was excavated, and seven sites dating back to the Period of the Proto-Three Kingdoms in Dogye-ri in Sejong, Galmae-ri in Asan, and Jeongchon-ri in Cheonan, and twenty sites related to Baekje. What is notable about the investigation of the relics in Galmae-ri, Asan is the archeological verification of the wooden-fence castle, which is traced to the Mahan period in historical records. Furthermore, the work in the Buyeo regions investigated various relics that provided an understanding of life during the Baekje period in Sabi, including the survey of a pit storage for ice which was apparently related to the life of the royal family or the aristocracy. Meanwhile, the wooden coffin tomb with piled stones in Hoam-dong, Chungju, Chungncheongbuk-do came up with the largest amount of bronze artifices that has ever been discovered in South Korea. Furthermore, more light was thrown on the two-tier structure of the excavation. Moreover, Bongsan-ri in Osong and the Techno Industrial Complex in Songjeol-dong in Cheongju include large areas that accommodate large-scale residential compounds, tombs, and production facilities that appear to have been created at the level of Eup-rak between the Period of Proto-Three Kingdoms and Baekje in Hanseong, thus providing crucial data needed to understand the structue of the contemporary society.
