한국의 중등교육 환경과 한자문화에 대한 새로운 이해 = The Educational Environment of Korean Secondary Education and New Comprehension on the Chinese Letter Culture

This Treatise deals with the causes of violent currency has happened in Korean secondary education environment and appeals the necessity of the cultural education in that curriculum. School violence and high grade of the suicide in secondary school are so serious that the similar case can not be found in another countries joined in OECD members. Though the causes could be more various, but most of people agreed with the fact that the main cause was the educational policy which had been made in the direction of the entrance to prestigious university or so called In-Seoul. There would be the infinite competition system for gaining first the highest social status in the core of the educational problems, as it were, the unfair hierarchy of secondary education system, the lessons planned only for competition, the monotonousness in the standards of educational achievement etc. In the results of these phenomenon, the savage preparing lesson and the course-work arrangement focused only on some major subjects were prevailed. For eradiating these cases, we should reduce the useless competition through diversifying the goals of life and finish the tendency that regarded the secondary education as the means for social success by reinforcing the cultural education. So, we need diverse culture & art education. Also we have to remember that the culture & art education could contribute to resolve the economic polarization. The value of the education of Chinese letters culture should be appraised and emphasized newly in the sight of the cultural education.
