椒甘湯의 抗allergy作用에 關한 實驗的 硏究 = An Experimental Studies of Chogamtang(椒甘湯) on The Anti-allergic action

Chogamtang has been widely used in the oriental medical treatment of dermatitis, especially allergic type.
These studies were attempted to investigate the effect of Chogamtang on the
anti-allergic action.
We studied the Vascular Permeability response induced by the histamine and serotonin injection(allergy I type), homologous PCA provoked by the IgE-like Antibody against EWA(Anaphylaxis type), contact dermatitis induced by picryl chloride(delayed type, allergy Ⅳ type), delayed type hypersensitivity response to SRBC(allergy Ⅳ type), and the amount of eosinophil & IgE (allergy).
The results were as follows:
1. In effect of Chogamtang(椒甘湯) on vascular permeability responses to intradermal histamine, it revealed significant effect.
2. In effect of Chogamtang(椒甘湯) on vascular permeability responses to intradermal serotonin, it had tendency to decrease, but was insignificant effect.
3. In the homologous PCA provoked by the IgE-like antibody against white egg
albumin, Chogamtang(椒甘湯) showed significant effect.
4. In the delayed type hypersensitivity responses to picryl chloride, Chogamtang(椒甘湯) was proved significant effect.
5. After reaction provoked by picryl chloride, Chogamtang(椒甘湯) showed insignificant effect in eosinophil amount, but significant effect in IgE amount.
6. In the delayed type hypersensitivity responses picryl to SRBC, Chogamtang(椒甘湯) was proved insignificant effect.
7. After reaction provoked by SRBC, Chogamtang(椒甘湯) showed significant effect in eosinophil and IgE amount. According to the above results, it is expected that can be used in treatment of allergic dermatitis.
