The purpose of this study is as follows; To evaluate the satisfaction of Employer-Supported Child Care Center teachers(here in after reffered as ESCCCT)with their job and educational circumstances by suuey and interview. To examine how different the degrees of the satisfaction they show according to their various labor conditions. To f';nd out the relationship between their satisfaction with their job and the satisfaction with their labor condition.
The size of sample was 156, all teachers working in Employer-supported child care center in Seoul-Inchon-Kyunggy Megaropolis area. Data was collected by an questionnaire and personal interviews, and t-test, One-Way ANOVA, Multiple Regression Analysis were used as analytical methods.
The results are;
ESCCCT showed high satisfaction with their educational circumstances (average3.22, total 4.0). Looking closely at detailed categories, they gave more than average marks to Meal service, hygiene, safety, administration, and gave poorer marks to the quality of education, relationship with familes and local community, facilities.
Teachers showed moderate satisfaction with their Job (average 2.92, total 4.0).They gave good marks to Fellow teachers, Childs, administrators, facilities and materials for teaching, communication, and poor marks to the prospect and carrier-builidng chance, families, labor condition, payment were categories. Among the teachers in various labor condition, the groups who showed highest satisfaction are: teachers whose teaching careers are shorter than 3 years, teachers whose working hours is between 10-12 times, teachers who are working with 11 and more fellow teachers, teachers who are caring 20 and less children, teachers who are working in facilities with 10 or less class.
Looking into the relationship between various labor-conditional factors and job-satisfaction, most Influential factors were administration, instruction, relationship with families and local communities, health-related factor
(as most influential order).
