전후 현대시조의 현실인식 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 2014년 9월부터 2015년 8월까지 수행한 과제 <전후 현대시조의 현실인식 연구>(A study on the reality recognition of post-war modern-sijo)에 대한 결과이다. 본 과제를 수행한 결과 「전후 현대시조의 현실인식 연구」(A study on the reality recognition of post-war modern-sijo)라는 연구과제명에 부합하는 논문을 『배달말』(2015.12)에 게재하였다. 본 연구가 지향한 바는, 전후를 이해하는 시조 장르의 특이성을 파악하고 이 시기 발표된 시조문학의 현실인식 양상을 이호우와 이영도의 작품을 통해 고찰하는 데 있었다. 전후라는 시대적 특수성과 현대시조라는 장르적 특이성, 그리고 당대 대표 시조시인을 통해 문학, 특히 시조의 현실인식 양상을 검토함으로써 이들 요소가 구성하는 복합적 좌표에서 당대 지식인의 고뇌와 책무 그리고 문학의 역할에 대해서 성찰할 수 있었다.
본 연구에서는 전후와 현대시조에 대한 연구 범주를 보다 구체화 하여 이호우와 이영도의 경우로 주제를 한정하였다. 이들 작가를 통해서 식민지와 해방기를 살아낸 삶의 층위와의 연속성에서 구성된 전후감각을 엿볼 수 있었다. 당대 주체에게 역사적 소용돌이는 단절적인 영향관계로 규정할 수 있는 것이 아니라 사건의 연속성과 역사의 지속이라는 포괄적인 범주에서 고찰해야 할 문제라는 사실을 자각할 수 있었다. 무엇보다 이들의 시조작품을 통해서 시조문학이 지배담론에 순응적이라는 종래의 비판을 어느 정도 불식시킬 수 있었다. 이호우와 이영도의 현실비판적 어조를 통해서 현대시조가 전후 지배담론 및 이데올로기에 대한 적극적인 대항담론으로서의 역할을 충분히 수행할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
효율적인 연구를 위해서 연구 범주를 50~60년대로 한정했으나, 이호우와 이영도의 활동상을 역사적 연속성의 층위에서 논의할 수 있도록 유연성을 두었다. 가령 해방기에서 현대(70년대 작고하기까지)에 이르는 활동기간에 발표한 작품을 모두 대상 텍스트로 고찰하였다. 이는 기계적인 시대 구획이 한 작가의 시대정신을 이해하는 데 부적합하다는 문제의식의 반영이며, 무엇보다 국가부재와 재건이라는 시대적 과제를 수행하는 시기로서의 연속성을 띠기 때문이었다.
이에 본 연구의 핵심 내용은 첫째, 전후상황에 대응하는 현대시조의 일면을 고찰하는 데 있었다. 문학을 구성하는 외연을 다양한 구성요소로 놓고 본다면 시조문학을 구성하는 요소 역시 상당히 다양하다. 그럼에도 우리 시사에서 현대시조를 이해하고 수용함에 있어 편협한 측면이 있었다. 이에 전쟁과 분단, 그리고 국

This study is the result of the challenges of <A study on the reality recognition of post-war modern-sijo> performed from September 2014 to August 2015. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of the sijo-genre to understand the post-war, through the works of this period and released Lee ho-woo & Lee yeong-do to consider the reality that recognize patterns. Historical events to contemporary subject is a product of continuity and sustainability. This study was a glimpse into the post-war sense of continuity configured in the above layer of the colony and live life figured Liberation Period through these writers.
The study was limited in scope to the 50-60's efficient research. But kept the flexibility to discuss the activities of the Lee ho-woo & Lee yeong-do above a layer of historical continuity. For example, they were both released in activities ranging from contemporary works in the Liberation Period of time to review the target text. This is reflected awareness of the problem of mechanical era compartment inadequate to understand the spirit of the artist.
