기업연결망들의 상호영향과 산업변동

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 한국 대기업 활동의 물리적 실체를 기업내 자회사간 연결망으로 인식하고, 경제사회학의 주요 명제인 상호영향을 빌려, 기업 내 자회사간 생산-판매 연결망들의 상호영향을 소속산업의 성장과 관련하여 이해하는 데에 어떠한 함의가 있느냐에 관한 것이다. 상호영향과 관련되어 자주 인용된 동형화 관련 명제를 이론적으로 확장하여 상호영향의 결과에 차이 또는 다양화도 포함시킨다. 각 기업의 자회사들이 진출한 국가를 결절점으로 하는 연결망 자료를 작성하여 연결망 효율성, 위계성, 그리고 도달성을 측정한 후 기업 연결망들간의 상호영향의 관계를 살펴본다. 한국의 자동차 및 반도체산업을 비교 연구한 결과, 양 산업 공히 지도자적 지위의 기업들이 다른 기업들에 비해 더욱 뚜렷한 상호영향을 보이며, 기업연결망들간의 상호영향이 상대적으로 더욱 빨리 성장한 반도체 기업에서 더욱 많이 감지되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper investigates the implicative relationship between the mutual influence of corporate networks and industrial growth. Borrowing from social network analysis, this research suggests that the subject of corporate activity is intracorporate intersubsidiary network for Korea's multinational corporations. From the explanation of economic sociology on action, this research utilizes the proposition of mutual influence and expands its conceptual coverage to include the phenomenon of disagreement and diversification, transcending the previous boundary of isomorphism-related theories. As for the network data used herein, nodes represent countries covered by corporate networks, and lines intracorporate transactions of goods to sales points. Aanalyses for Korea's automobile and semiconductor corporations were carried out using network-level variables such as efficiency, hierarchy, and reachability. Major findings include that relatively more evidence of mutual influence is detected 1) at the level of corporations, among industry leaders of both industries than in other cases; and 2) at the level of industries, in the semiconductor industry.
