듀이의 아동교육론 연구 - 아동교육 목적론을 중심으로 -

The purpose of this study was to investigate Dewey`s theory of child education. For this study, I analyzed Dewey`s educational thought and theory centered on his books, School and Society, Democracy and Education, and Experience and Education. Educational philosophy`s core proposition of Dewey is pursuit of intelligence. As we know according to Dewey`s expression-Education is ` to reconstruct, renew, and reorganize experience, it is acquired by experience. Education is accomplished experience with nature, society and people. From that point of view, the child grow out of the life and experience process. The basic habit formation, one of the aims of child education in Korea, have close relation to Dewey`s child educational theory. The basic habit formation was formed in life. So, Dewey`s continuity of experience and interaction have many suggestion to formation of basic habit formation. Dewey`s educational thought have implied rational and value-oriented thought with generality and integrative reconciliation of variety rather than absoluteness or speciality. It is recognized each difference strengths and weakness in every situation, from the cradle to the grave, not an one-sided view. That is, the child is educated in autonomous and natural phenomenon. So, to understand and practice educational philosophy of Dewey, the preschool curriculum of Korea should put into them. The study on Dewey`s theory will be a contribution to guilty improvement of child education based on right application to kindergarten in Korea. For early childhood educational reform, it is necessary to innovate in the public as well as educators` consciouseness centered on child`s activities, play, game, work. Only after life education and emotional education, it was accomplished academic education in traditional child education of Korea. It is also the important future task which study on Korea child educational thought to harmony between traditional education`s thought and reformational thought before educational refonm. Contents of this study was ; First, The back-ground of Dewey`s the child-centered educational thought. Second, The arms of child Educational theory. Third, The contents of early childhood education. Fourth, The methods of early childhood education. Last, The natural disposition and A role of preschool teachers.
