Most companies put a lot of effort into maintaining the sustainability of survival and growth, and are constantly agonizing over it. In order to strengthen corporate competitiveness in a rapidly changing market environment, various management innovation activities were proposed and applied according to the situation of the company. Therefore, in order to maintain corporate continuity, if there is even a small clue to increase corporate competitiveness, it has always moved for customer satisfaction.
For successful 6 Sigma activities, the more various conditions are satisfied, the more certain results can be achieved. Based on this, it is necessary to support project managers or team members to achieve excellent results before starting a project. It is no exaggeration to say that the success and failure of the project are determined by the person in charge and team members. Therefore, excellent manpower must be secured so that the 6 Sigma project can be successfully carried out, and it is also very important to train manpower to demonstrate ability.
In order to secure excellent belt manpower and improve the level, it is necessary to train belts for each functional organization, and to supplement the existing system, the selection and training model for BB is proposed to activate effective 6 sigma activities.
The existing belt manpower selection and training process was uniformly and uniformly selected and nurtured regardless of the characteristics of the functional organization. Based on Company L's case, it suggests limitations on the selection and training model of BB personnel among the existing 6 sigma belts, and compensates for vulnerabilities through comparison with other companies. Based on this, a selection and training model was proposed for BB candidates belonging to the development team among the functional organizations and conducted through literature research and empirical analysis.
In order to propose and demonstrate the research model, it was carried out through the following five steps based on Company L's certification system.
First, existing studies on the 6 sigma process, success factors, and belt system were analyzed. The success factors suggested by previous researchers could be largely summarized as common topics of managerial interest, education and training, and compensation. In other words, it can be seen that training belt manpower is a major success factor for 6 Sigma innovation activities.
Second, the existing BB selection and training model was analyzed, and the role and certification system of BB were confirmed. Company L's uniform belt system was used as a basis for establishing a research model and hypothesis by grasping the current level.
Third, a development BB selection and training research model was proposed. Those eligible for BB education will be selected through an additional point system that reflects their team experience, GB activity performance, and completion of specific education. In the training process, the design considering the costs required for the development organization, the development quality improvement process, and the idea development method were reflected and nurtured.
Fourth, a survey was conducted before and after the development BB selection and training process to demonstrate the development BB selection and training model. The results of the survey confirmed the average difference before and after implementation through paired analysis, and it was confirmed that the satisfaction level after the selection of the development BB and the implementation of the positive model was high.
Finally, based on the research results, it was suggested that expertise can be developed by applying selection and training courses suitable for functional organizations, and that 6 sigma innovation activities can be properly carried out through activities suitable for each function, not unique activities of quality and production departments. In addition, the limitations of candidate selection evaluation through optimization of operations, accumulation of know-how, and interviews were presented to present limitations and plans that require in-depth research in the future.
