Double layered tubes have been widely used in the transportation industry. Especially hydroforming assembly technology for double layered tube has many advantages. In this study, the mechanical characteristic for double layered tube was investigated by using coefficient measuring of linear expansion. Double layered tube is assembled different material by hydroforming method. Inner tube is stainless steel and outer tube is mild steel. Thermal stresses between outer tube and inner tube were evaluated using theories of elasticity and Lame at high temperature environment. The analytical analysis is verified using a finite element model of DEFORM-2D. The FEA was performed to produce diagrams of thermal stress between outer and inner tube.
