광역자치단체 과학기술정책의 수요 충족성에 대한 연구 -대구광역시의 사례를 중심으로- = A study on the Need Fulfilment of Science and Technology Policies of an Upper Level Local Government: Focused on the Case of Daegu City

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research explored trends, types and characteristics of research and development(R&D) policies of an upper level local government and analyzed their need fulfilment by comparing with substantial needs of local firms, focused on the case of Daegu City. According to the results of analysis, there were some gaps between the policies of Daegu City government and the needs of local firms. Although local firms needs diverse R&D programs, the policies focused on several areas such as high-tech and convergence R&D programs of universities, cultivation of R&D human resources, commercialization of R&D outcomes, and the attraction or establishment of research institutes. That is, the diversity of R&D program portfolios were weak, and thus R&D policies seemed to have difficulty in satisfying the needs of divers firms. Accordingly, several measures to improve these conditions are required as follows: the expansion of policy types and areas, the clarification of policy targer groups, the customized support based on firm characteristics, and the expansion of investigation regarding the policy needs of firms.
