서울 지역주민 여성의 비만도에 따른 건강습관 및 스트레스 = Socio-demographic Variables and Health-related Behaviors among Normal, Overweight and Obesity Women of Seoul Citizens

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to identify the variables which affect body mass index (BMI) and the relationships among BMI and socio-demographic variables and health-related behaviors among women in Seoul.
Methods : A self-report questionnaire was used covering questions regarding stress and health related behaviors such as smoking and drinking behavior, exercise, weight management, etc. Test of significance for differences between the groups were performed with  - test and a multiple regression was used to identify factors which affect the level of BMI.
Results : The level of BMI has a positive relationship with age, married status, level of education and stress at univariate analysis, but only age and level of education remained significantly after analyzing multiple regression among Seoul women citizens in Korea.
Conclusion : This study may be utilized in preparation and planning for obese prevention programs and policies for women.
