    In the battery industry, the expansion of domestic battery value chain development in the United States has been rapidly progressing due to the impact of IRA last year. Therefore, it is anticipated that the global supply chain in the battery industry will undergo a significant restructuring driven by the United States in the future, leading to the proliferation of blockization.
    However, the current China-centric battery supply chain has a high dependency on China and a high degree of centrality in terms of connecting with other countries, making it challenging to exclude China in the short term for the establishment of a global battery supply chain. The network analysis conducted in this study reveals that nodes from China are prominently present in all aspects, including lithium-ion batteries, cathode materials, anode materials, separators, and electrolytes, indicating the formation of a China-centric global network.
    Most notably, South Korea shows the strongest edge with China in the fields of anode and cathode materials, demonstrating interdependence. However, the ongoing global battery supply chain restructuring led by the United States increases the likelihood of changes in this China-centric battery ecosystem. Therefore, it is a crucial moment for South Korea to reduce its dependency on the supply chain from China and rethink its strategy for the electric vehicle demand market in response to the supply chain restructuring led by the United States.
