다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As the scale and damage of the war was massed, the war was systematically disciplined and institutionalized. Today, war has become a situation under international law. Two World Wars have led to the formal launch of the International Federation and the United Nations in the international community, and now most wars on Earth are under U.N. control or sanctions. From this point of view, the process of institutionalization of war was analyzed. The modern war was institutionalized as a national war after Napoleon as the forms of war varied. However, modern warfare already has a new type of war taking place all over the world. Just as human culture develops, the form of war and methods continue to develop. Therefore, efforts should be continued to approach, analyze and study the changes in the form of war that have occurred since it was institutionalized as an all-out war.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

전쟁의 규모와 피해가 대량화 되면서 전쟁을 체계적으로 규율하고 제도화 현상이 일어나게 되었다. 오늘날에는 전쟁은 국제법을 적용받는 상황이 되었다. 2차례 세계대전을 통하여 국제사회에서 ‘국제연맹’과 ‘유엔’을 정식으로 발족하게 하였고 이제는 지구상에서 발발하는 전쟁은 대부분 유엔의 통제 또는 재제를 받고 있다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구에서는 전쟁의 제도화 과정을 분석하였다. 현대전은 전쟁의 형태가 다양해지면서 나폴레옹 이후 국가 단위의 총력전으로 제도화 되었다. 그러나, 현대전은 벌써 새로운 형태의 전쟁이 세계 도처에서 발생하고 있다. 인류의 문화가 발전하듯이 전쟁의 형태나 방법 등도 지속적으로 발전한다. 따라서 총력전으로 제도화 된 이후 발생하고 있는 전쟁의 형태변화에 대하여 새로운 각도에서 접근하여 분석하고 연구하는 노력이 지속되어야 할 것이다.
