      The effect of the two stgae vortex finder on the collection efficiency and pressure drop in a cyclone with a gas inlet velocity and geometric ratio of a two stage vortex finder. Pressure drop increases with gas inlet velocity and decreases with solid loading. Collection efficiency of cyclone with two stage vortex finder increases with gas inlet velocity up to 17 m/s(= 1.7 times the saltation velocity, and there-after decreases with increasing gas inlet velocity. The Dietz model, derived from the assumption that a cyclone is separated into three zones with turbulent mixing within the zones with between them, predicts the sxperimental collection data of the present study more closely than the model of Leith and Licht.
