Web 2.0 환경에서 지도의 융합에 관한 연구 = A Study on Mash-up Maps in Web 2.0 Environment

The purpose of this paper is to explore cartographic development with investigation of mash-up map in Web 2.0 environment. Web 2.0 is not a special technology but paradigm shift that focus of new web technology has moved from supplier to user. Web 2.0 paradigm with participation and publicity present great potentialities to Geographic Science. With the progress of Web 2.0 paradigm, it will create huge demand for geographic information and Geography. So, Web 1.0 cartography as a simple information provider would shift Web 2.0 cartography as interactive information with user creation geographic contents.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 지리학적인 관점에서 Web 2.0 환경에서 지도의 융합을 고찰하고 지도학의 발전방향을 모색하는 것이다. Web 2.0은 어떤 특정 기술을 지칭하는 것이 아니라 공급자 중심의 인터넷 신기술들이 사용자 중심으로 변화하고 있는 패러다임의 변화라고 볼 수 있다. 개방과 참여로 대표되는 Web 2.0은 지리학 분야에 새로운 발전 가능성을 제시하고 있다. Web 2.0 환경이 강화될수록 지리정보의 가치에 대한 인식이 높아지며 지리학에 대한 수요가 증가될 것이다. 단순한 지리정보 제공에 초점을 두고 있는 기존의 Web 1.0 지도학을 지리정보 구축과 활용에 사용자 참여를 강화하여 지리정보의 쌍방향성을 실현하는 Web 2.0 지도학으로 발전시키는 것이 필요하다.
