The purpose of this study is to investigate the teachers` and parents` experiences and perspectives on a character education. There were school violence and bullying of students in schools; therefore teachers has been a central role in developing students` character. This research presented the teachers` and parents` perspectives, understandings of the character education. To accomplish this study, the data were collected through the elementary, middle, high school teachers and parents using proportional stratified sampling. Participants were 1,589 teachers and 1,642 parents. The statistical analysis were performed by frequency, percentage and chi-square. The results were as follows. First, both teachers and parents agreed that character education for students needed. Second, there were some different perspective toward character education. 45.4% of teachers believed that character education should perform with parental support, but 36% of parents thought that teachers should play a primary role in class, and additional integrated character education. Based on these findings, character education program needs to be more challenging, and parents are required to involve in character education.
